Teaching Centre HR and Operations Manager, Ho Chi Minh City

The post holder will manage all aspects of HR operations and staff deployment for the Teaching Centre in Ho Chi Minh City and ensure alignment with the British Council Vietnam’s overall HR objectives and business requirements and regional and corporate HR policies.

Role overview
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the recruitment and selection process from end to end of all TC staff.
- Manage the efficient teacher utilisation through effective termly timetabling of all teaching staff.
- Manage the learning and development and HR system of the teaching centre in overall.
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate strong evidence of behaviours and similar experience, including:
- Minimum 5 years of full time practical experience in relevant field, with proven track record in HR management; experience and sound understanding of best practice in HR processes and systems
- Experience working in multi-cultural organisation
- Sound understanding and experience of updated Employment Law and local HR practice
- Understanding of British Council purpose and values, and the local traiing/education environment or willingness to learn
- Excellent communication in written and spoken Vietnamese & English
Term of Service:
Country appointed positions, initial two year term contract with possibility of extension depending on business performance.
Annual gross salary following British Council local payband (Grade G), according to experience and qualifications, together with attractive benefit package and career development opportunities.
