The British Council Sales and Customer Management Team in Ho Chi Minh City is now looking for invigilators working flexibly in our Ho Chi Minh City branches, to assist us during our language assessment (LA) days.

Role overview
To represent the British Council to the public via face-to-face communication. To deliver excellent customer service to actual and potential students, visitors and enquirers. We are looking for part-time staff with the following main tasks:
- prepare placement test materials (pens, pencils, eraser, test papers, registration forms, etc.)
- set-up testing rooms
- welcome and check name and arrival time of the customers
- instruct customers fill information in the registration form
- input test results and customer data into the system with high accuracy.
- tick customers attendance on system
- instruct customers take a test clearly
- floating customers from writing room to interview room
- instruct students to counselling area for further consultation after oral test.
- report on LA daily problem and LA record to LA team leader
- file documents
- carry out other tasks as required by LA team leader
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in different areas of customer journey and teaching.
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- good level of English and Vietnamese (Upper-Intermediate and above)
- good communication and organisation skills
- be flexible for at least 15 hours of work per week (including Saturday/Sunday and evenings)
- high sense of responsibility, dynamism, attention to details and customer-oriented
- ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children
- ability to demonstrate the British Council’s behaviours at an essential level: Working together, Making things happen and Being Accountable. (For details please refer to the British Council’s behaviours)
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer)
- preferably first or second-year university student

2. Performance
- precise instruction
- professional manners with proper clothing
- clothing should not be too revealing and short.
- wear professional office clothes
- where practical, tattoos should be concealed by clothing
- not use iPad, phones etc. while placement testing
- show up on time
