A forward-thinking and inclusive university
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David, known as UWTSD, has the oldest Royal Charter in the UK after Oxford and Cambridge. It has three main campuses in Wales, at Carmarthen, Lampeter and Swansea. All share a friendly community atmosphere. In 2022, we celebrate our bicentenary, and will be celebrating the history, tradition, and transformational journey that the University had taken in the last 200 years.
UWTSD offers small class sizes and a high quality of teaching from lecturers who are active in research or industry. Students explore and learn the theory around their subject while gaining skills that boost their employment prospects. The university is employment-focused that furnishes students with all the knowledge and skills to thrive after graduation.
Tradition and innovation come together at UWTSD. It’s a forward-thinking, inclusive institution, giving everyone who could benefit from a university education the chance to fulfil their potential. It ranked 7th in the UK for student satisfaction with teaching quality (The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021), 2nd in the UK for satisfaction with feedback (Guardian League Table 2021) and 1st in the UK for course & lecturers (Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2019 & 2020).
