The Study UK campaign has partnered with the UK’s online learning platform FutureLearn to offer free access to UK university courses.

From 5 October 2020 to 5 February 2021, learners worldwide can access more than 395 massive open online courses (MOOCs) from 40 UK universities for free.

The campaign – Study UK: Learn online with a UK university – covers a wide range of courses, including courses on poetry, anthropology, sustainability, human anatomy, mental health, the Covid-19 pandemic and much more. Learners can be sure to find courses that will match their interests.

Anyone can join and register for as many courses as they wish. Furthermore, eligible learners in the 143 non-OECD countries can take advantage of a free upgrade until Friday 5 February 2021. This will enable them to access the course for an extended period, take tests and assessments (if applicable) at no additional charge, and earn a digital certificate subject to completing at least five steps on the course. A total of 50,000 free upgrades are available on a first-come first-serve basis, capped at one per learner.

This is an excellent opportunity for learners to experience the diversity of the UK’s higher education offer for free and from the convenience of their own home country. MOOCs are also a great way to meet and share ideas with like-minded people.

Learners can visit the campaign page to explore the available options and sign up for a course by 5 February 2021.
