Artists and creatives from across Viet Nam will take part in a series of workshops and open studio events hosted by renowned UK performers and facilitators Jo Fong and George Orange.

The sessions will focus on inclusivity, forming community and collaboration. Viet Nam's artists, arts supporters and those new to the arts will explore new ways of growing their local artistic ecosystem. There will be discussions, dancing, gathering, listening, moving and the creation of a new physical theatre performance that draws on everything from dance to clowning!

About the collaborators

Wales’ artists Jo Fong and George Orange are working in partnership with Saigon Theatreland in Ho Chi Minh City and Life Art in Hanoi to explore theatre making and performance creation with artists across Viet Nam. Our collaboration is inspired by ideas around belonging and forming community. At this moment in time, if the arts are to thrive in both Wales and Viet Nam, community will be essential.

All the UK and Viet Nam partners would like to thank British Council Wales for their support and encouragement for this project.

How to take part

Workshops and performances will take place in late 2023.
