Workshop: Making Blended Learning Work: 3 practical case studies
Dr Adrian Raper is the technical director at ClarityEnglish and responsible for creating tools and titles that have been used by millions of students across the world for the last 20 years. He has been running teacher development sessions, helping teachers get the best use out of ICT, for 10 years.
This workshop will present 3 case studies of the different ways that blended learning can work.
- A quick and easy example where a phone app is used to trigger students to think about one idea a day before coming to class.
- A secondary school in the UK where online homework is set (as exam preparation) and teacher tracking is the key to success.
- A Taiwan university where a teacher uses a pronunciation program in class as a reliable model and guidance for further self-access as well as independent learning.
