Viet Nam – The British Council introduces the IELTS EduCreators 2026 Award, a pioneering programme that seeks to identify and recognise individuals who are helping to promote the positive values of IELTS through teaching, knowledge sharing and educational content creation on digital platforms. In addition to a total prize value of up to VND 320 million, the programme also offers opportunities for professional development, personal branding and long-term collaboration with the British Council.

As an English language proficiency test recognised by more than 13,000 organisations in over 140 countries and territories for academic, professional and immigration purposes, IELTS remains a trusted international English qualification widely chosen by learners and educational institutions in Viet Nam. In the 2026 university admissions season, nearly 100 universities nationwide are using IELTS as part of the admission methods, recognising it as a reliable evidence of English language proficiency.

As IELTS learning and preparation become increasingly connected with the digital environment, those working in teaching and training are playing an increasingly important role in guiding learning approaches, sharing knowledge and supporting test takers in building sustainable English language competence. With more than 30 years of partnership with Viet Nam in advancing language proficiency, the British Council aims to recognise and further motivate these contributions through IELTS EduCreators 2026 - a programme dedicated to teachers and trainers with strong expertise, creative capabilities and a shared aspiration to promote the genuine and long-term values of IELTS to the community.

More than a recognition award, IELTS EduCreators 2026 also aims to foster a connected community for individuals who are contributing to shaping a more inspiring, creative and sustainable approach to IELTS learning in Viet Nam. Through the programme, the British Council seeks to work alongside educators and trainers to further improve the quality of support available to test takers and promote meaningful learning values in the long term.

Samantha Lea Smith, Country Exams Director (Viet Nam), shared: “We believe that when IELTS teachers and trainers are recognised, encouraged and empowered to maximise their strengths, they can create even bigger, better and greater value for the community. Through this, they will help more test takers boost their confidence on their IELTS journey, achieve the best outcome to open up further opportunities in education, their career and beyond. This is also the goal that IELTS EduCreators 2026 aims to achieve.
