Teaching Assistant in Ho Chi Minh City
The British Council Teaching Centre Team in HCMC is seeking suitable candidates for the post of Teaching Assistant. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with our teachers, supporting them both inside and outside of the classroom. As well as a pastoral role, they may also perform various administration tasks for the Teaching Centre.

Role overview
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- University students (3rd year or 4th year students preferred)
- Good level of English and Vietnamese (IELTS 6.0/Upper Intermediate and above), candidates will sit a level test if the IELTS certificate is not available
- Being available for at least 20 hours of work per week on Saturday/Sunday and evenings
- Ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children
- Ability to demonstrate British Council’s behaviours at essential level: working together, making things happen and being accountable
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work with a focus on customers
- Ability to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer)
- Being able to prove that he/she has no civil or criminal records of any nature relating to any allegation concerning any type of harm to a child or children.
TERM OF SERVICE
This is a non-employment position and a term-based hourly paid contract. Gross wages: VND43,000 per hour, together with experience of a dynamic working environment and career development opportunities.
