Role overview
Purpose of job:
Become an IT and Admin Assistant with the British Council, a global organisation working in the education and cultural sector in Hanoi.
As the IT and Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for administering the IT network infrastructure, providing reliable and consistent IT network operation and technical support to British Council Hanoi IT system, including main office and branch(es) and supporting the delivery of premises and office facilities.
The key responsibilities are IT system installation, maintenance, software troubleshooting; performance monitoring on the network and related equipment(s) as well as maintenance. You will assist in Internet connection administration, technical support and training. You will also take on a back-up role to the IT Manager in case of emergency when IT Manager is on leave and be an active member to enhance IT service performance and be an Admin/Facilities support.
Ideally, you will have at least one year of previous work experience within IT and will be an advanced user in Computer/Server/Wireless Networking. Experience in ITIL (Server Management), Computer/Server/Wireless Management and Security and Database Management is considered essential, and a relevant IT qualification would be a strong advantage.
