Role overview
British Council in Vietnam is seeking to appoint two IELTS experts to enhance our offer and assist our operations in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). These are exciting new posts in a wonderful country that will allow the holders to apply their expertise in IELTS and EAP whilst also developing their skills in customer service, product development, marketing, line management and training. You will be working as part of a larger team in a highly successful teaching operation that is poised for large-scale expansion, and you could become the face of the British Council’s IELTS offer.
The IELTS Coordinator will play a lead role in placement testing IELTS customers, providing consultancies and study plans, delivering small group tutorials and more. You will work closely with the adult academic management team, as well as the Academic Managers for Professional Development and Upper Secondary in order to help ensure our IELTS offer meets customer expectations and British Council quality standards.
Your experience to date will combine excellent teaching (at adult and upper secondary life stages, and including EAP, IELTS, and exam preparation) with some degree of academic coordination, quality control, line management, and teacher training. Your skills will include: the ability to support customers in reaching their objectives, a track record of supporting teachers in IELTS/EAP/Exam related issues via INSETT, as well as product/service development. As an expert within the branch, you will also liaise with marketing and sales colleagues to ensure excellent customer service, promotional activity, and effective value-added events.
You will teach up to 18 hours per week, scheduled or as cover, line-manage up to three teachers, and will be expected to work evenings as well as weekends.
